But a significant part of the work of a firefighter is in community safety. It involves engaging with local communities across a range of locations.

Firefighters visit schools, work with children at various youth initiatives, inspect people's workplaces and carry out home safety visits. We aim to prevent fires and other emergencies happening in the first place and to make our communities safer.
